Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has added another impressive achievement to her growing international profile after her latest studio album, Starrgirl, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
The feat was recorded on the chart week dated August 29, 2026, coming less than two weeks after the album was released on August 14.
Starrgirl trails three K-pop projects on the chart, with Stray Kids’ This & That occupying the top spot, followed by CORTIS’ GREEN GREEN at No. 2 and ATEEZ’s Golden Hour: Part.5 at No. 3. South African singer Tyla’s APOP ranks fifth.

Released through Mavin Records and Republic Records, Starrgirl is Ayra Starr’s first studio album since her 2024 project, The Year I Turned 21.
The 16-track album features collaborations with a mix of Nigerian and international artistes, including Wizkid, Rema, Zayn, Leon Thomas, kwn, Danny Ocean and Theodora.
The latest Billboard appearance further underscores Ayra Starr’s expanding global presence and the international reception of her music.
Starrgirl follows her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, released in 2021, and The Year I Turned 21, which arrived in 2024.
