The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) Dr Goodnews Goodman Agbi has received royal blessings from the Isoko Traditional Rulers Council over his aspiration to govern Delta State.
This came as the Oyede community women, Igbo community in Isoko and Oleh Community Development Union also endorsed him as their preferred governorship candidate for the March 18 polls.
Speaking on behalf of Isoko Traditional Rulers Council the Odiologbo of Owhe Kingdom HRH. Okpuzo Romanus Ejiremene Inana 1(JP) said, “Isoko traditional council and the royal fathers have endorsed you.
“For you to be sure this is the first time Isoko illustrious son is coming to see us that he is vying for the position of governor in Delta State and that Isoko traditional rulers should pray for him.
“Isoko must try and try but if we are afraid, there is nothing we can do. Look at what happened in Imo State governor Uzodinma who came 4th, he is now the governor of Imo State, we pray it should be so for you.
“That you were able to chest out for this race glory be to God Almighty. During the Delta South Senatorial District election, we told the Isoko people that it is not the issue of a party that we must endeavour to support our own.
“Every Isoko must take it as a pain. If 5 persons are contesting in Delta Central definitely their votes will be divided. And if will put our house together anything can happen”.
