The 20 medical students and one house officer abducted in Benue State have been successfully rescued by security forces. These students, from the University of Maiduguri and the University of Jos, were kidnapped about a week ago while traveling to Enugu State for a conference.
The high-stakes rescue operation was expertly coordinated by the office of the National Security Adviser, with a joint effort from various security agencies including the police, DSS, and military. Their collaboration, supported by the Benue State government, led to the successful liberation of the captives.
