Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has dismissed rumours claiming that he and his wife, Simi, recently welcomed twins.
Speaking during a recent interview with the Great Day 20 podcast, the singer clarified that the viral reports circulating online were false, while also opening up about family life and raising a child in a music-oriented home.
According to him, their daughter, Deja, is already showing signs of interest in music.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for music as well,” he said.
Adekunle Gold, however, firmly denied the speculation about twins, insisting that the reports were merely social media rumours.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. It’s just internet rumours. We have a son,” he stated.

The speculation reportedly began late last year after a pregnancy-themed music video featuring the couple gained traction online. In the video, Simi appeared visibly pregnant while announcing they were expecting another child.
Shortly afterwards, social media platforms were flooded with claims that the celebrity couple had welcomed twins, triggering widespread reactions and congratulatory messages from fans.
The singer’s latest comments now appear to have put an end to the speculation surrounding the family.
