Operation Hadin Kai Intensifies Security Operations
Following the attack, troops reportedly maintained heightened vigilance and intensified searches around the area to prevent further assaults and recover any additional items of operational significance.
The Theatre Command said Operation Hadin Kai remained committed to intelligence-driven operations aimed at restricting terrorist movements, protecting vulnerable communities and weakening insurgent capabilities across the region, in line with the broader mandate of the Nigerian Army in the North-East.
It added that the military would continue efforts to consolidate security gains and support the restoration of peace and stability in the North-East.
The defence of FOB Garaha prevented the attackers from overrunning the position, according to the military account. However, the injuries sustained by personnel underscore the continuing human cost of counterinsurgency operations.
