
The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) in recent times has been engaged in activities geared toward achieving five key strategic imperatives for the development of cricket sport in the country.
These have drawn commendations from cricket governing bodies in the continent and internationally.
NCF has always provided the needed support and platforms to cricketers in Africa and the world The Trumpet gathered.
However, ahead of the Africa Games ”Accra 2023”, facility upgrades and construction have become the front burner for the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA).

Following the above, NCF as part of its merited support system has recommended Mr. Yemi Amusa and Mr. Francis Atekega as turf wickets consultant, and chief groundsman respectively to Ghana Cricket Association.
The duo will provide expert advice and services in the construction of a turf wicket at the famous Achimota Cricket Oval in Accra.
Meanwhile, preliminary discussions took place during the recently concluded Women’s T20I tournament in Lagos where the President of the Federation, Mr. Uyi Akpata, and Presidents of other countries, engaged in a closed-door meeting to discuss collaborations on how to grow the game in the continent.
