An Anglican cleric, Venerable Olu Obanla, and his son who were abducted a few days ago by some gunmen have regained freedom.
They were reportedly abducted along Ifon-Okeluse Road, in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday.
The Trumpet gathered that the victims’ families were contacted by the abductors to demand a sum of N10 million before they could release them, but the family could not afford the sum.

However, it was gathered that the victims were released on Monday to reunite with their family after a ransom –N1 million – initially rejected was paid to the abductors.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) of the state, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, said the victims were already with their family members.
