The Emamusi Obiodeh Foundation has launched a ₦5 million empowerment outreach in honor of Chief Emamusi Obiodeh’s birthday on August 15th. The initiative aims to uplift women entrepreneurs and deserving students across Isoko South and Isoko North, reinforcing grassroots development and human capital growth in Delta State.
Speaking at the official flag-off, Commissioner Obiodeh emphasized that the empowerment package is designed to stimulate local economies and reward academic excellence. Two women running verifiable small-scale businesses from each Isoko South community will receive seed capital, while one tertiary student from each of the 24 wards in Isoko South and Isoko North will benefit from financial grants to ease education costs. In addition, exceptional secondary school performers, those topping their classes from JSS1 through SSS2, will be recognized with cash awards to further incentivize scholastic achievement.
A dedicated five-member committee, chaired by Marvins Onamakowho Obibi with Darlington Akpoturu, Praise Ejiro Kisson, Oletu Oghogho Joy, and Ubara Obaro as secretary, will oversee a rigorous verification process. Nominees are invited to submit the name of their community or ward and details of their business or educational institution under the foundation’s social media posts. While women’s nominations must include proof of business operations, students may self-nominate for the back-to-school grants.

“This empowerment outreach celebrates the spirit of possibility that drives Delta State forward,” said Chief Obiodeh. “By championing both entrepreneurship and education, we invest not just in individuals, but in the collective future of Isoko Nation.”
Donors to the Emamusi Obiodeh Foundation have already begun supporting the drive, showing a shared belief that targeted financial interventions can unlock tremendous social and economic benefits. As nominations roll in, communities across Isoko are buzzing with anticipation, eager to see how the ₦5 million initiative will transform lives and bolster the governor’s vision for an inclusive, opportunity-rich Delta State.
