This initiative was put together by the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, alongside the Ministry of Livestock Advancement.

Maiha, who was represented by his Special Assistant, Eustace Iyayi, stated that the goal of the programme is to utilize digital tools to foster growth and progress within the industry, while emphasizing the inclusion of women and diversity.

He mentioned that digital competencies are vital for promoting advancement and growth within the livestock industry.

The minister added that the ministry has rolled out the Nigerian Livestock Growth Acceleration Strategy, package to stimulate sector growth.

“At present, we aim to train 1,000 young individuals per state in various aspects of the livestock industry.

“We recognize that this digital venture will be immensely beneficial in achieving that. We inhabit a world where we can dive in and access wherever we desire to go.

“We are also focused on encouraging women’s participation in livestock enterprises, and we strongly believe that initiatives like this will be tremendously advantageous,” Maiha expressed.

Idris Bugaje, the Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), mentioned that each initiative illustrates the transformative capabilities of technology in tackling genuine issues faced in the livestock sector and further afield.

Bugaje, represented by Aliyu Imafidor, the general manager of the NBTE Centre of Excellence for TVET, remarked that Artificial Intelligence is a key factor in digital transformation and is swiftly changing fields such as education, agriculture, healthcare, and more.

He praised participants for showcasing creativity, commitment, and a problem-solving attitude throughout the program.
