Bayern Munich stand-in captain Thomas Muller scored an own goal to hand Bayer Leverkusen a vital draw at Allianz Arena.
Bayern took the lead in the first half when defender Niklas Süle in the 18th minute put the league leaders ahead in a game that could have been the 20th Bundesliga win for the season.
But to the dismay of Bayern fans, who were expecting a second goal, Muller erroneously struck his own net in 36 minutes.

The dominant Bayern tried to put the team back on the lead but were held to a 1-1 draw by the resilient Leverkusen.
In the game, Bayern got 19 shots, with 5 on target and 8 blocked. Top position on the league table with 59 points from 25 games, they look forward to their next Bundesliga match at Rhein-Neckar-Arena with Hoffenheim.
