The match got off to a whirlwind start as Lukaku scored his fourth goal of the season just five minutes in, capitalizing on a precise pass from Andre Anguissa. The Belgian striker expertly maneuvered between two defenders, brushing aside Strahinja Pavlovic before driving a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.
Just two minutes before the break, Kvaratskhelia doubled Napoli’s lead with a sensational strike from outside the box. Cutting in from the left, he unleashed a bending shot that slipped under the dive of Milan’s goalkeeper Mike Maignan, leaving the hosts stunned and unable to mount a comeback.
Despite coming into the match as the fresher side—thanks to the postponement of their previous game against Bologna—Milan found it difficult to break down Napoli’s defense.
