An Abuja-based lawyer Pius D. Pius, has pledged to offer Pro Bono legal services to the less privileged in Taraba state.
The lawyer recently took a proactive step by awarding scholarships worth millions of Naira to students from various higher institutions in the state. Additionally, he conducted free medical tests for those in need.
The impactful event unfolded at the Zing Local Government Council in Taraba, where Pius expressed his commitment to giving back to the society that played a pivotal role in shaping his life.
Reflecting on his actions, he emphasized the necessity of contributing to the community and stated, “It has become necessary for me to give back to the society that made me who I am today.”

Additionally plans to empower and support 500 individuals in his rural community, have also been put in place.
The annual event, according to him, also targets secondary school students through essay competitions, school fee payments, textbook purchases, and medical care.
Expressing gratitude to past sponsors like Rev. Father Charles Nyame Land Innocent Umar, Pius stressed the significance of partnerships to broaden their impact.
Looking ahead, Pius envisions increasing the program’s frequency to quarterly and expanding the beneficiary count to 500, contingent on finding willing partners to collaborate on this noble initiative. The lawyer remains open to future partnerships to amplify the positive impact on his community.
