Apex Igbo Socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, has congratulated Governor Francis Ogbanna Nwifuru on his recent victory at the court of Appeal, which affirmed him as the rightful winner of the governorship election held on March 18, 2023
Ohanaeze said Nwifuru’s victory was a clear testament to his dedication and commitment to serve the good people of Ebonyi State.
The organisation stated that although, it is the opposition governorship candidates’ constitutional right to appeal any irregularities during the election, but called on them to shun the temptation to further the appeal court Judgment to the supreme court.
A statement issued and signed on Monday by its Secretary-general, Okechukwu lsiguzoro, Ohanaeze commended Nwifuru’s visionary leadership, particularly his human development policies and relentless efforts to uplift the indigenous people of Ebonyi state, eradicating poverty, and hunger in the state.

“This is a crucial moment for all stakeholders to unite and join hands with Governor Nwifuru in his tireless efforts to reposition Ebonyi State to even greater heights. Ohanaeze Ndigbo recognizes the exceptional qualities of Governor Nwifuru and draws parallels between him and the revered former Governor General of the old Eastern Region, Rt Hon Francis Akanu-ibiam.
“Governor Nwifuru embodies the vision and leadership required to shape the future of the Igbo. Together, we can build a prosperous Ebonyi state that serves as a shining example to the nation.
The Igbo Body appealed to all concerned parties to prioritise the collective interests of the people and support Nwifuru’s transformative agenda, saying further appeal to the Supreme Court would amount to a waste of time and resources.
