- As Inemesit vows to equal Mfom’s record
Rangers International FC have charged thirteen new signings of the club ahead of the fast approaching 2022-2023 footballing season to meet set targets.
The Flying Antelopes reminded the new players, who were highly recommended by the club scouts and technical adviser, to give their best in and out of the pitch to fulfil outlined goals for the new season.
In a statement by the club’s Administrative Secretary, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, during the unveiling ceremony of the thirteen newbies, on Thursday, at the players’ camp in Independence Layout, Enugu, their inclusion was of necessity to bolster the club’s rank.
Ugwuarua said, “We welcome you to Rangers and wish to remind you all that you came here through high recommendation from the scouting department and the technical adviser’s call. I charge you to be at your best in all situations both on and off the pitch so as to help us achieve our set target for the season.”
Meanwhile, one of the new crops, Inemesit Sunday, has assured the Flying Antelopes that he was going to obliterate the Mfom Udoh’s scoring record.
Inemesit, who gave the assurance during the unveiling ceremony, added that he would achieve the feat through the support of the club and teammates.
Earlier in his address, the newbie from Dakkada FC, stated that he was elated to join the Rangers International FC and looks forward to winning trophies with the Enugu-based club.

“I am very happy to be here in Enugu as it has been some days to behold,” Inemesit said.
“My main target here is to ensure that I contribute my best towards helping Rangers win trophies and play continental football next season.
“On a personal note, I hope to equal and even surpass Mfom Udoh’s record goals scoring form with the support of my teammates and coaches,” he added.
According to the club’s report, players unveiled include; goalkeeper, Ogundare Detan Banabars who joins from 3SC; central defender, Tunde Olaniyi from Sokoto United; attacking sensation, Saeed Jibril, who switched from Plateau United; left-back, Jacob John Okpe that was snatched from Niger Tornadoes; attacking midfielder, Michael Ibe, that joined from Mashal F.C, Uzbekistan; and defensive midfielder, Emmanuel Charles from Akwa United.
Other are; attacking midfielder, Nwaodu Chukwudi Justin, who last featured for Heartland; right-back, Sani Shehu, who joins from Gombe United; attacking sensation, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim from Rivers United; goalkeeper, Emeka Nwabulu from Heartland; central attacker, Inemesit Sunday from Dakkada; just as striker, Reuben Bala Yakubu joins from Plateau United while right-back/defensive midfielder, Gabriel Innocent joins from Abia Warriors.
