Premier League club, Southampton, are weighing their options to sign Super Eagles and Rangers midfielder, Joe Aribo, to St Mary’s Stadium this summer.
The midfielder, who is being courted by several Premier League clubs still has a year left to run at Ibrox.
Aside from Southampton, the player has been heavily linked with a move to Villa Park to reunite with Steven Gerrard, who once coached the Super Eagle at Rangers. The Trumpet Gathered
Although Rangers expect The Saints to make a formal offer for the player, who scored in the Europa League final against German club Eintracht Frankfurt in Seville last season, the Gers are in pursuit of PAOK forward Antonio Colak.
Premier League newcomer Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Fulham are all courting the 25-year-old Gers’ midfielder but a recent report by Daily Records reveals that Southampton are at the forefront of securing Aribo’s signature.

Should Aribo consent to the deal to switch to head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl’s side this summer, it will be a return to England after leaving Charlton Athletic for Ibrox on a free transfer 4 years ago.
The number 10 made his debut for the national side in 2019 under former coach Gernot Rohr and has earned 20 caps, netting 2 goals for Nigeria in international friendly matches.
Last season, Aribo played 70 matches to become the only player in Europe’s top divisions to reach the mark in a single season, and he was also instrumental to help Rangers reach the Europa League final where they lost on penalties to Eintracht Frankfurt.
