French club, Lyon defeated Barcelona femini 3-1 in Turin to lift the Women’s UEFA Champions League trophy for the 2021- 2022 season, held in front of 32,257 fans at Juventus’ Allianz Arena.
Barcelona, tipped as the favourite for the women’s European clubs’ topflight competition after an impressive flawless season in the Spain women’s football league, got a shocking surprise as Lyon opened the goal vault against Asisat Oshoala’s side.
