‘You Dey Craze’ Became An Issue
According to her, her ex-husband began interpreting some of her casual remarks as disrespectful after they got married.
She recalled that even when she jokingly used the expression, “You dey craze,” her husband would consider it an insult and accuse her of disrespecting him.
The change in his reaction to her usual manner of speaking reportedly left her questioning whether he was the same person she had known before marriage.
“I was bringing in more of the money in the marriage and my ex-husband always felt disrespected, although he is eight years older than me,” she said.
She added that the situation became particularly confusing after their wedding because things she previously said without causing disagreements suddenly became sources of conflict.

Reactions On Social Media
Her revelation has reopened conversations about financial power, gender expectations and the role of respect in marriages where women earn more than their male partners.
While some social media users argued that a woman’s higher income should not threaten a man’s position in a relationship, others questioned whether financial contributions should determine how partners communicate and relate with each other.
Some commenters also suggested that the actress should move on from the failed marriage, while others said her experience reflected the pressure some men face when their wives earn more.
