Rano Air is a Kano-based Nigerian airline owned by businessman Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, widely known as AA Rano. It received its Air Operator Certificate from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority in April 2023 and began commercial flights on 7 May 2023, flying Embraer ERJ-145 jets from its base at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
Its network is domestic and centred on Kano, Abuja and Lagos, with services to other cities in the north. Like other Nigerian carriers, it has adjusted its schedule in response to rising aviation fuel costs.
