Ethiopian Airlines is the national carrier of Ethiopia and Africa’s largest airline group. Founded in 1945 and a member of Star Alliance, it runs its main hub at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and is a major link for Nigerian travellers, with flights from Lagos, Abuja, Kano and Enugu connecting through Addis Ababa to Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
Ethiopian Airlines was also chosen as the strategic partner for the proposed Nigeria Air national carrier, a project that was suspended in 2023. This page collects The Trumpet’s Ethiopian Airlines reporting and updates automatically whenever we publish a new story about the airline.
