President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Lagos after ending his extended working vacation in Europe, returning to Nigeria on Tuesday, September 29, after departing Paris, France.

Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, where he was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other senior officials.
The President’s arrival followed confirmation by the Presidency that he had departed Paris for Lagos after concluding his working vacation. The State House said Tinubu chose Lagos as his first destination in Nigeria to honour the memory of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.
Tinubu departed Abuja on August 30 for a working vacation in Europe, initially spending about a week in London before travelling to Paris.
During his stay in France, the President held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and also met businessman Vincent Bolloré. According to the State House, discussions with Bolloré included plans to deepen investments in Nigeria’s creative and digital economy.
The Presidency had earlier announced that Tinubu would extend his stay in Europe by a few days before returning to Nigeria. His return date was subsequently fixed for Tuesday, September 29.

Tinubu is expected to remain in Lagos for a number of official engagements before returning to Abuja next weekend, according to reports on his itinerary.
The President is also scheduled to participate in activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary on October 1.
As part of the Independence Day programme, Tinubu is expected to attend the premiere of a documentary honouring the late Chief MKO Abiola at the National Theatre in Lagos. The documentary focuses on Abiola, the June 12, 1993 presidential election and the pro-democracy struggle that followed.
Tinubu’s return brings to an end a stay of about four weeks in Europe that began with his departure from Nigeria on August 30.
The Presidency had described the trip as a working vacation and said the President remained in contact with officials and continued to direct government affairs while abroad.
