Three persons have been arraigned before the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State, over the alleged torture, physical assault and online publication of nude images of two women in Ughelli.

The accused persons are Precious Isaac, Clarice Dickson and Orji Ifeanyi, while some other suspects were said to be still at large.
They were charged in a nine-count charge filed by the Commissioner of Police, Delta State, bordering on cyberstalking, torture, unlawful publication of nude images, causing physical harm and malicious damage.
According to the charge dated September 15, 2026, and obtained by our correspondent, the alleged offences were committed in Ughelli, Delta State, against two women identified in the charge as Sarah Gomerim and Awu Kate.
The prosecution alleged that the accused persons and others still at large inflicted physical injuries on the victims by beating them and pouring ground pepper into their vaginas.
Nude Images Allegedly Published Online
The charge further alleged that nude photographs of the victims were subsequently published on the internet in circumstances described by the prosecution as pornographic, indecent and obscene.
In separate counts involving the two women, the prosecution alleged that the accused persons subjected them to physical and mental suffering through acts of beating and the alleged use of pepper.
One of the counts relating to Gomerim also alleged that she was stabbed in the leg with a knife, causing physical injury. A similar count alleged that Awu Kate was attacked with a knife.

Charges Filed Under VAPP, Anti-Torture And Cybercrime Laws
The accused persons were also charged under provisions of the Cybercrime (Prohibition) Act, the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act, the Anti-Torture Act and the Criminal Code applicable in Delta State, according to the charge sheet.
The case followed the emergence of a video purportedly showing the alleged incident on social media. The video reportedly went viral and triggered widespread condemnation of the alleged treatment of the women.
Social media personality VeryDarkMan was among those who publicly reacted to the video, drawing further attention to the incident.
The police prosecution unit said the charges were filed following investigations into the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault and the online dissemination of the victims’ images.
The prosecution listed the alleged offences as including cyberstalking, causing physical injury, torture, unlawful publication of obscene material and assault.
The charge was signed by Uye Michael of the Legal/Prosecution Unit, Criminal Investigating and Intelligence Department, State Police Headquarters, Asaba, Delta State, and dated September 15, 2026.
The accused persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.
