The march, described by organisers as a “One Million Man Match,” attracted youths from Ozoro, Oleh, Irri, Olomoro, Iyede and other communities. It began at the Ozoro Civic Centre and moved through major streets in Ozoro, the headquarters of Isoko North Local Government Area.

Ozoro youths march in support of Tinubu, APC

Participants at the Ozoro Youth Assembly march for Tinubu wore APC-branded caps and shirts and carried banners and placards expressing support for the president and the party’s candidates.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards included “Renewed Hope is Working”, “Isoko is APC” and “Youths Stand With Tinubu”.

OYA leaders said the march was organised to demonstrate what they described as the readiness of Isoko youths to mobilise support for the APC ahead of forthcoming elections.

OYA says march demonstrates grassroots support

Speaking at the rally ground, the President of the Ozoro Youth Assembly said the group was proud of what it described as the achievements of the Tinubu administration.

“We are out today to tell the world that Ozoro youths, Isoko youths, and Delta South youths are with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all our APC candidates. This One Million Man Match is proof that the grassroots are solidly behind APC,” he said.

The OYA president added that the group would continue its grassroots sensitisation efforts ahead of the elections.

The claim of broad grassroots support expressed at the rally represents the position of the organisers and participants at the event.

Youths call for greater inclusion in governance

Other speakers at the event commended the Tinubu administration for what they described as increased youth participation in government.

They also called for greater federal presence in Isoko land, particularly in road infrastructure, education and youth empowerment.

The youths pledged to work with political leaders and other stakeholders to promote peace before, during and after elections.

Community leaders commend peaceful march

Elders and community leaders who participated in the exercise commended the initiative and described it as an indication of political engagement among young people in the area.

They urged the youths to maintain peaceful conduct and channel their participation towards attracting development to the community.

Security agencies were deployed during the march to maintain order, while traffic was diverted along some major roads for the duration of the exercise.

Normal traffic movement resumed after the march.

The event ended at the Ozoro Township Stadium with prayers for Nigeria, Delta State and the success of the APC candidates. For updates on this and other political stories, follow us on X.
