Legendary American country music singer and songwriter, Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 80.
Parton’s death was announced on Tuesday, August 25, by her nephew, Bryan Seaver, who spoke on behalf of the Parton and Owens families in a social media post.
The iconic entertainer, whose career spanned more than six decades, was celebrated globally for her contributions to music, film, business and philanthropy.
She was best known for timeless hits such as Jolene, 9 to 5 and I Will Always Love You, songs that helped establish her as one of the most influential figures in country music.
