Nigeria’s men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams have departed the country for the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt.
The Nigerian contingent departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The teams will represent the country at the continental championship, where they are expected to battle some of Africa’s finest beach volleyball teams for honours.

The tournament provides a major platform for the Nigerian players to test their strength and competitiveness against top opposition while gaining valuable international experience and competing for continental glory.
With preparations now focused on the championship, the Nigerian teams will be aiming for strong performances and a successful outing on the African stage.
The participation also underlines Nigeria’s continued commitment to the development and promotion of beach volleyball, as the country seeks greater recognition and success in continental competitions.
