The Presidency has set 5pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026, as the deadline for Nigerians to submit their views on the proposed National Policing Bill, as the Federal Government advances plans for the introduction of state police.

Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu and Chairman of the Presidential Working Group on the National Policing Bill, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the consultation was intended to capture citizens’ experiences and concerns before the proposed reforms move further.
