Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has officially married his long-time partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a private civil ceremony in Portugal.
The couple, who began their relationship in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, confirmed their marriage by sharing a photograph on Instagram showing their wedding rings.
The intimate ceremony reportedly took place in Cascais, a coastal town about 20 miles west of Lisbon, with their five children said to have been present.
The wedding marks a new chapter in the relationship of Ronaldo and Rodríguez, who have built a family together over nearly a decade and frequently share glimpses of their lives on social media.
The marriage comes just days before Ronaldo’s club, Al Nassr, begin their 2026/27 Saudi Pro League campaign.

At 41, Ronaldo remains one of football’s most prolific goalscorers, having enjoyed a remarkable career with Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and the Portugal national team.
His marriage to Rodríguez also follows his participation in his sixth FIFA World Cup, where he equalled Lionel Messi’s record for the most appearances at the men’s tournament.
Ronaldo had previously indicated that the 2026 World Cup would be his final appearance at football’s biggest international competition, although he has yet to completely close the door on his future with Portugal.
After almost 10 years together, Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s private wedding adds another milestone to one of football’s most closely followed celebrity relationships.
