MTN clarified that the genuine 25GB anniversary giveaway is available only through the MyMTN NG App and MTN eShop.
“Please beware of fake MTN 25th Anniversary 25GB giveaway offers circulating online,” the company warned.
It added that subscribers should not click on links, share their personal information or make payments on platforms claiming to offer the promotion, stressing that customers should “only trust official MTN channels.”

Customers who received an official SMS notification about the promotion may also use the link contained in the message to access the offer.
MTN urged subscribers to exercise caution when receiving messages or seeing online posts about the giveaway, particularly those requesting sensitive information or payment before the data can be claimed.
The company further stated that the 25GB bundle is subject to a validity period and will expire at 11:59pm on the specified expiry date.
Subscribers have therefore been advised to ignore unauthorised websites and suspicious links and to avoid sharing sensitive details such as banking information, passwords and one-time passwords with unknown platforms.
MTN reiterated that customers should use only its official channels to verify and redeem the anniversary promotion.
