The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 Borno State election, Engr. Mustapha Gubio, on Friday continued his statewide appreciation tour with a visit to Bama Local Government Area, where he met with party leaders, traditional rulers, community elders, youth and women groups, and other stakeholders.

The delegation was led by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Rt. Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, and included the Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial District, Sen. Kaka Shehu Lawan (SAN). Party leaders said the visit was part of the APC’s appreciation tour to thank members and residents for their support during the party’s governorship primary election.
Addressing party supporters, Gubio expressed gratitude to the people of Bama for their overwhelming support and reaffirmed his commitment to providing inclusive and people-oriented leadership if elected governor in 2027.
He said his administration would prioritise improved security, infrastructure development, job creation, education and economic growth across Borno State.

The APC governorship candidate urged party members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the party’s ideals, stressing that unity would be critical to consolidating the party’s achievements and securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, Dalori and Lawan commended APC supporters in Bama for their unwavering loyalty and encouraged them to sustain their support as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
Several stakeholders described the visit as an important opportunity to strengthen grassroots engagement between the party leadership and members. They reaffirmed their commitment to the APC and pledged to mobilise support for the party ahead of the polls.
The delegation also included the APC deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Ali Abdullahi Isa (AAI); APC Borno State Chairman, Hon. Bello Ayuba; House of Representatives aspirants; commissioners; members of the Borno State House of Assembly; local government chairmen; party executives; and other APC officials.
The APC appreciation tour is expected to continue across other local government areas as the party engages members and stakeholders ahead of the 2027 Borno governorship election.
