Young people in Lagos with innovative solutions to climate-related challenges can now apply for grants of up to $5,000 under the Lagos Youth Climate Action Fund (YCAF), an initiative supported by the Lagos State Government in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies.
The programme is designed to empower youth-led climate projects that will contribute to building a cleaner, greener and more climate-resilient Lagos.
The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, announced the initiative via his X (formerly Twitter) account, encouraging young people to seize the opportunity.
“Got an innovative idea to make Lagos greener, cleaner, and more resilient? This is your opportunity to rise, lead, and demonstrate that meaningful climate action starts here.
“The future is in your hands, and this is your chance to help shape it. The Lagos Youth Climate Action Fund, in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies, is calling for bold, innovative and youth-led projects that will drive climate action and contribute to building a more sustainable and resilient Lagos.”
