The command said the officers were taken into custody following public outrage over the video, while the Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, ordered a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, who addressed reporters on Friday, said the command acted swiftly after the video surfaced to identify and arrest those involved.
According to him, the officers are ASP Elomore Sodayo (AP/No. 207454), Inspector Adefila Adewale (AP/No. 332012), Inspector Olorunfemi Opeyemi (AP/No. 332449) and Inspector Odusola Peter (AP/No. 332369).
“The command wishes to inform the general public that the officers captured in the video have been arrested and identified,” Jimoh said.
He added that the commissioner of police had directed a full-scale investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the level of culpability of each officer.
Jimoh reiterated that the police remain a disciplined and professional institution that does not condone misconduct, incivility or actions capable of undermining public confidence, promoting ethnic division or bringing the Force into disrepute.

He stressed that police officers are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times, respect the dignity of members of the public and comply strictly with the Force’s Code of Conduct and standard operating procedures.
The police spokesperson assured the public that the investigation would be guided by fairness, transparency and accountability, adding that any officer found culpable would face appropriate disciplinary measures in line with the law and established procedures.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professional, intelligence-driven and community-oriented policing across Ondo State.
Jimoh also urged members of the public to remain law-abiding and continue reporting cases of police misconduct through the established complaint channels.
