German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt has honoured Nigerian football icon Austin “Jay-Jay” Okocha by featuring him prominently in the unveiling of the club’s 2026/27 away kit, celebrating the enduring legacy of one of its most celebrated former stars.
The tribute has been warmly received by football fans, who described it as fitting recognition for Okocha’s immense contribution to the club and his lasting impact on German football.
Okocha represented Eintracht Frankfurt between 1992 and 1996, captivating supporters with his exceptional dribbling ability, flair, creativity and eye-catching goals. During his time in the Bundesliga, the former Super Eagles captain established himself as one of the league’s most entertaining players.
Among his most memorable moments was his sensational solo goal against Karlsruher SC in 1993, a strike that remains one of the most iconic goals in Bundesliga history.
