Toyin Abraham has shared how her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, influenced her decision to quit cigarette smoking through understanding and encouragement rather than pressure.
Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, the Nollywood actress described her husband as “the best thing that has ever happened” to her, saying he always allowed her to be herself while gently guiding her toward better decisions.
Abraham revealed that she used to smoke cigarettes but stopped after becoming pregnant with their son. Although she occasionally vapes, she said she no longer smokes cigarettes.
According to her, the turning point came when her husband reminded her during her pregnancy that smoking was no longer an option because of their unborn child.

She also recalled an incident after giving birth when she smoked in his presence. Instead of confronting her, Ajeyemi calmly told her:
“I’m not stopping you from smoking or drinking alcohol, but any day I see it in the hand of my child, that will be the end of that marriage.”
Abraham said the statement changed her perspective and motivated her to give up cigarette smoking.
The couple, who got married in a private ceremony in 2019, welcomed their son, Iremide, later that same year. Her comments have since drawn praise from many fans, who commended Ajeyemi’s calm and supportive approach and described their relationship as an example of mutual respect and understanding in marriage.
