According to Danja, the raid forms part of sustained military operations aimed at disrupting terrorist logistics networks and curbing the proliferation of illicit firearms across the North-West.
“Acting on credible intelligence, the troops conducted a carefully planned operation on a secluded compound deliberately concealed by the suspects to evade security detection,” he said.
“During a thorough search of the premises, troops recovered five locally fabricated AK-47 rifles and arrested two suspected arms manufacturers and suppliers.”
The military said the operation was executed in collaboration with other security agencies, describing it as another significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks fueling terrorism and banditry in the region.

“Investigations have commenced to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate, uncover their financiers and collaborators, and dismantle the entire illegal arms supply network,” the statement said.
The Theatre Command commended the troops and partner security agencies for the successful operation and urged residents across the North-West to continue supporting security operations by providing timely and credible intelligence capable of preventing terrorist and criminal activities.
