The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres.
In a statement issued from the Corps’ National Headquarters in Abuja Thursday, the FRSC said the recruitment exercise is entirely free and warned applicants to be wary of fraudsters seeking to exploit job seekers.

According to the Corps, the recruitment drive is aimed at attracting young, intelligent and vibrant Nigerians who are willing to contribute to road safety administration and traffic management across the country.
The available vacancies are spread across three major categories: the Officer Cadre, Marshal Inspectorate Cadre and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre.
For the Officer Cadre, the Corps is seeking applicants with qualifications ranging from first degrees in Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Engineering and other relevant disciplines. Candidates must possess the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge or exemption certificate and be between 18 and 35 years old.
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre requires candidates with National Diploma (ND), National Certificate in Education (NCE), Registered Nurse qualifications and other related certificates, while applicants for the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre must possess a minimum of three credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB examinations, including English Language and Mathematics.
FRSC also announced openings for drivers, motorcycle riders and artisans such as mechanics, electricians, plumbers, tailors and computer operators. Applicants in these categories must possess relevant trade test certificates and valid driver’s licences where applicable.

The Corps stated that applications must be submitted online through its official recruitment portal and that shortlisted candidates would be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.
The recruitment portal will remain open for four weeks beginning from July 3, 2026.
To qualify, applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically fit, computer literate and of good character. Candidates must also meet the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.60 metres for females.
Additionally, applicants must not have criminal records, visible tattoos, financial indebtedness or any condition that could affect their suitability for service.
The Corps further advised pregnant women not to apply and reminded candidates in professional fields such as medicine and law to possess valid practising licences and professional certifications where necessary.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency, FRSC emphasized that no payment is required at any stage of the recruitment process and urged interested applicants to report any individual demanding money in exchange for employment opportunities.
