Three-time champions El-Kanemi Warriors and debutants, Ikorodu City will battle for the 2026 President Federation Cup title after both sides secured impressive semi-final victories on Wednesday.
El-Kanemi Warriors booked a second consecutive appearance in the final with a commanding 3-1 victory over Wikki Tourists in Katsina.
The Maiduguri-based side, champions in 1991, 1992 and 2024, will now aim to add a fourth Federation Cup title to their collection.
Ikorodu City, meanwhile, continued their remarkable fairytale run by defeating Nasarawa United 4-2 on penalties after both teams settled for a 1-1 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The result extended Nasarawa United’s disappointing record at the Benin venue. Five years ago, the Solid Miners also suffered heartbreak there, losing the 2021 Federation Cup final to Bayelsa United on penalties after a 2-2 draw.
