Nigeria’s table tennis star, Aruna Quadri, has exited the 2026 World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender tournament in Skopje, North Macedonia, following a 3-1 defeat to South Korea’s Park Gyehyeon in the Round of 16.
Park secured the victory after a hard-fought encounter, ending Quadri’s impressive run at the competition and advancing to the quarter-finals.
The Nigerian veteran had earlier demonstrated his resilience in the previous round, overturning a 2-1 deficit to defeat French youngster Flavien Coton in a thrilling comeback victory.
Despite the disappointment in Skopje, Quadri’s appearance remains another notable outing for the 37-year-old, who is currently ranked No. 76 in the world.
