“May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.

“May God grant his family, friends and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed,” he wrote.

Janmole’s passing comes nearly four years after he survived a fire incident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, an experience many of his associates described at the time as a miraculous escape.

Over the years, the late actor built a reputation as one of the familiar faces in Yoruba-language films, earning admiration for his versatility, humour and dedication to the growth of Nollywood.

His performances endeared him to audiences across the country and secured him a respected place among industry practitioners.

Since news of his death emerged, tributes have continued to pour in from fellow actors, filmmakers and fans, many of whom have taken to social media to celebrate his contributions to Nigerian cinema and recall memorable moments from his career.

His death marks another significant loss for Nollywood, an industry that has in recent years mourned several notable actors and filmmakers whose works helped shape Nigeria’s thriving film sector.

Family members and industry stakeholders are expected to announce funeral arrangements in the coming days.
