Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned that several governors in Nigeria could end up in jail if President Bola Tinubu loses political power, claiming that the current administration is shielding many political office holders from corruption-related consequences.

The leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church made the statement in a message posted on his Facebook page, where he alleged that the political survival of many governors is tied to the stability of Tinubu’s administration.

Key Highlights:

  • Primate Elijah Ayodele warned that several Nigerian governors could face prosecution and possible imprisonment if President Bola Tinubu loses political power.
  • The cleric claimed that the current administration is protecting many political office holders from corruption-related consequences and that this protection could disappear if the government loses control.
  • Ayodele alleged that hidden corruption involving some governors would be exposed if power is “forcefully taken away” from the ruling administration.
  • He urged governors elected on the APC platform to remain loyal to the government and work towards maintaining unity and stability within the ruling party.
  • The outspoken cleric also warned of alleged internal conspiracies within the APC and renewed his call for stronger action against terrorism and those allegedly sponsoring insecurity in Nigeria.

According to Primate Ayodele, any forceful removal of the president or loss of political control by the ruling government could expose hidden corruption and trigger severe legal consequences for several state governors.

He claimed that many of the affected governors could face prosecution and possible long-term imprisonment once the political protection surrounding them disappears.

The cleric therefore urged governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to remain loyal to the administration and work toward maintaining unity and stability within the ruling party.

“The moment power is forcefully taken away, hidden corruption will be exposed and many governors will not escape prosecution,” Ayodele reportedly stated.

He also warned about alleged internal conspiracies within the ruling party, insisting that certain individuals are secretly working against the government from within.

In recent remarks, Ayodele called on the federal government to intensify efforts against terrorism and expose individuals allegedly sponsoring insecurity across the country.

His latest comments have continued to generate reactions among political observers and supporters amid ongoing national debates surrounding governance, corruption, and political stability in Nigeria.
