Relief swept through family members after the missing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Eunice Ameh, was found unharmed days after she was declared missing in Abuja.
Sources close to the family confirmed on Sunday that Ameh was found safe after days of uncertainty surrounding her disappearance in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The female NYSC member was last seen on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, after leaving work in Abuja, before she was eventually located on Sunday morning.
A family source confirmed the development, saying, “Eunice has been found unharmed this morning.”
However, details surrounding where she was found and the circumstances leading to her disappearance have not yet been disclosed.
Before her discovery, the case had sparked widespread concern across the country, particularly within the legal profession, after reports emerged that she failed to return home from work.
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) had earlier called for her immediate release and urged security agencies to intensify efforts to ensure her safe return.
In a statement issued on Saturday night, NBA President, Afam Osigwe described Ameh’s disappearance as deeply painful to the association and the wider legal community.
The association noted that Ameh, who was serving in Abuja under the NYSC scheme, disappeared under troubling circumstances after work, raising anxiety among colleagues, friends, and relatives.
According to family sources, the corps member had recently started working as a Sales Manager with Blades and Butchers Ltd, located on Lake Chad Crescent in Maitama, Abuja, barely two weeks before she went missing.

She was reportedly last seen around 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday while heading home toward the Life Camp area, where she resided in a corps members’ lodge.
The incident was reported to the police at the Maitama Division, while officials of the National Youth Service Corps were also notified.
Before she was found, family members had described the situation as traumatic and emotionally distressing as they awaited updates from investigators.
