The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has delisted 23 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres across Nigeria following technical deficiencies observed during the 2026 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, the board said the decision followed a post-mock review that uncovered operational lapses capable of undermining the integrity of the main UTME scheduled to begin on April 16, 2026.

JAMB explained that the mock examination is not only designed to familiarise candidates with the CBT format but also serves as a quality assurance test to evaluate the readiness of accredited centres.

According to the board, several centres failed to meet required technical and operational standards, prompting what it described as “decisive steps” to safeguard the credibility of the examination process.

The affected centres span multiple states, including Abia, Anambra, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, and Plateau.

Among those delisted are Micben Seat of Wisdom Academy (Abia), Bishop Crowther Seminary CBT Centre (Anambra), Derby’s Young ICT Centre (Bayelsa), Avid ICT Solutions (Delta), Daniet Global Resources (Edo), De-Lite CBT Centre (Maitama, FCT), Florin High School (Lagos), Braingate Model Schools (Ogun), Oduduwa University CBT Centre (Osun), Lasting Glory Schools (Oyo), and Rabjib Computer Academy (Plateau).

In addition, JAMB issued warnings to several other centres across states including Abia, Adamawa, Benue, Kano, Rivers, and Taraba, noting that these facilities showed minor deficiencies and have been given a final opportunity to improve before the main examination.

The board also announced the permanent blacklisting of HA-SHEM Academy, Iwaya, Yaba in Lagos, citing unresolved and critical issues that make it unfit for any future JAMB examinations.

Reaffirming its commitment to a credible examination process, JAMB stated that only centres that meet its strict operational benchmarks will be allowed to conduct the 2026 UTME.

“JAMB will continue to protect the integrity of its examinations by ensuring that only fully prepared and technically compliant CBT centres are engaged,” the statement said.
