The Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has reflected on the life and journey of the former Governor of the state, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, as he marked his 74th birthday, hailing his enduring leadership legacy and contributions to governance and national development.
In a goodwill message released on Saturday, Gov. Okpebholo, on behalf of the government and people of Edo State, celebrated Sen. Oshiomhole’s life of service, highlighting his contributions to governance and national development.
He noted that from his early days as a labour leader to his tenure as the governor of Edo State, Sen. Oshiomhole demonstrated courage, integrity, and a strong commitment to the welfare of the people.
According to the governor, the ex-governor’s administration laid a solid foundation for reform-driven governance and helped restore public confidence in leadership.

The governor further acknowledged Sen. Oshiomhole’s influence beyond Edo State, pointing to his role as a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he championed unity, discipline, and progressive ideals across the country.
Gov. Okpebholo also praised the senator’s continued service as the representative of Edo North Senatorial District, noting that his voice remains impactful in the National Assembly and a source of pride to the people of Edo State.
The governor while praying for continued good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service for Oshiomhole, said “as you mark this milestone, we celebrate your achievements and the values you embody. Your guidance and mentorship remain invaluable.”
He concluded by wishing the elder statesman a happy 74th birthday, describing him as a leader whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
