The Kpakpaji clan in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has endorsed Governor Francis Nwifuru and the senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Sen. Kenneth Eze, for re-election in 2027.

The clan made the decision on Saturday during a constituency interactive meeting with Sen. Eze at his Ohigbo Amagu country home, noting that the duo have performed exceedingly well and deserve their total support in the forthcoming elections.

The motion for the endorsement of Gov. Nwifuru and Sen. Eze, was moved by Petrus Elechi and seconded by Festus Nweke.

Vice Chancellor of the Ebonyi State University, Prof. Michael Awoke, in his speech, said he was proud to have supported Gov. Nwifurru and Sen. Eze during the 2023 general elections, saying they have justified the people’s mandates given to them.

A director at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Abuja Centre, Prof.Jonathan Aliede, lauded Sen. Eze for securing federal employments for many youths and for executing impactful projects in many communities within the zone, assuring that the clan would continue to rally support for him and Gov. Nwifuru.

An ex-officio member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Mr. Cletus Alube, described the achievements of Sen. Eze as unprecedented in the history of representation in the zone, and urged him to keep up the good work, assuring him of the total support of the Kpakpaji clan in the next election.

Other stakeholders who spoke, including the Commissioner for Commerce and Industries, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwali, and the former Chairman of Ezza South Local Government Area, Sunday Ogodo also lauded the achievements of Sen. Eze and called for a more united Ezza South for greater gains.

President of the Kpakpaji Youth Assembly, Mr Sunday Nwali, who spoke on behalf of the Kpakpaji youth, unanimously supported the endorsement of Gov. Nwifuru and Sen. Eze for re-election, saying that the duo have prioritized the welfare of the youth and deserved their total support,come 2027.

Mr. Nwali vowed that the Kpakpaji Youth Assembly under his watch would mobilize the youth of the clan to ensure the landslide victory of Gov. Nwifuru and Sen. Eze.

Earlier, Sen. Eze while addressing the people of the clan on his achievements, said he had facilitated federal jobs for over 120 people, constructed classroom blocks in schools, built health centres, constructed bridges and roads, and installed solar powered bornehole in different communities, among other numerous achievements.

He explained that he believes in giving the youths permanent empowerment by offering them employment than sharing money and buying drinks for them.

Sen. Eze called for unity amongst the people of Ezza South and the entire Ezza clan, and advised those who he accused of engaging in division, bickering and blackmail to desist.
