Nigerian content creator Deka George has mourned the death of her sister, Evans Akinloye Chiamaka, who reportedly died from childbirth complications.
In a post shared on Instagram, George revealed that her 36-year-old sister passed away during a medical emergency, describing the loss as devastating and expressing regret that she was unable to be by her side.
According to the influencer, she missed her sister’s phone call because she was attending two separate court appearances in Lagos.
George said she had been moving between proceedings at a Magistrate Court and the Federal High Court of Nigeria when the call came in, leaving her unable to respond or travel immediately to Abuja, where her sister was receiving treatment.

The influencer also alleged that the general hospital where Chiamaka was taken lacked oxygen — a critical resource needed during the medical emergency.
“Life is so fickle. My sister would have been alive today if I didn’t have two court cases in Lagos. You called but I was being dragged from Magistrate Court to Federal High Court. You called but I missed your call because I was busy fighting for my life and freedom in Lagos,” she wrote.
“I am sorry Sister Amaka. I wish I could go back in time. I would be with you in Abuja and we could have saved you. A whole General Hospital didn’t have oxygen. Nigeria failed you. I failed you.”
George said the tragedy has left her with deep guilt and anger, noting that she wishes she could reverse time to be present during her sister’s final moments.
The development comes amid an ongoing legal dispute between the influencer and hair vendor Rainbow Hairs.
The legal battle reportedly began last year after George alleged she received substandard hair products despite paying more than ₦200,000, prompting the company to file a defamation lawsuit against her.
