Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has finally responded after Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti advised him to “be careful” when collaborating with Wizkid.

This warning came amid a heated online conflict between Seun Kuti and the Grammy-winning artist.

Despite Seun Kuti’s advice, Asake went ahead with his collaboration with Wizkid. On January 23, 2026, he announced the release of their joint project, Real EP Vol. 1, on Instagram.

The announcement featured a stylish promotional video and a caption in Yoruba that read, “Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi,” meaning “Real EP Vol. 1 is out now.”

Seun Kuti had publicly warned Asake to be cautious of Wizkid following a heated exchange on social media.

The feud began when Seun criticized Wizkid’s fan base, labeling them as “the most ignorant fan base” and implying that their parents had not achieved what his father, the legendary Fela Kuti, had.

In response, Wizkid called Seun a “fool at forty,” a “hungry b*stard,” and “a frog who lives in the mud.” Seun Kuti later cautioned Wizkid to remove Fela’s tattoo from his body or face the risk of never achieving success again.
