A statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Musa Mohammed, said the courtesy visit was focused on enhancing collaboration and operational synergy between the Bayelsa State Police Command and the Joint Task Force South South, Operation Delta Safe, in order to improve policing and security across the state.

During the engagement, Rear Admiral Oladipo stressed the need for sustained cooperation, effective intelligence sharing, and coordinated joint operations among security agencies. He noted that such collaboration was critical to addressing security challenges, particularly in Bayelsa’s riverine and coastal communities.

The police commissioner also pledged robust assistance through the deployment of available technological assets within the command to support operations against pipeline vandalism, crude oil theft, and illegal oil refining, which remain major security and economic concerns in the Niger Delta region.

CP Edebor further emphasized that strong inter-agency cooperation remains central to effective security management. He assured of continuous engagement with sister security agencies to reinforce the existing security framework and sustain peace and stability in Bayelsa State.
