The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board has revealed the next phase of its recruitment process following the Computer-Based Test (CBT) that was concluded on November 19.

According to the latest update from the CDCFIB board, preparations have begun for the next stage, which involves physical verification and documentation.

The organization said it has shortlisted applicants based on their performance and encourages those selected to visit the board’s official recruitment portal at www.recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng between December 1 and 3, 2025, to choose their preferred screening location and date.

The screening will take place from December 8 to 12, 2025, across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In a statement released on Thursday, the board congratulated all candidates who successfully passed the CBT, emphasizing that the selection process adhered to federal character principles.

The board also urged the public to ignore any information not sourced from CDCFIB’s official channels.

CDCFIB has announced two days ago that over 200,000 applicants did not pass the online computer-based test during the ongoing recruitment process.

The test, conducted from November 12 to 19, is part of a nationwide paramilitary recruitment initiative.

According to a statistical update shared by CDCFIB via its X post on Tuesday, 650,395 applicants achieved the passing mark (scoring between 41-100) out of 872,391 who participated in the online examination. Only 142,697 candidates scored above 80, accounting for 25.4% of those who took the test.

A further breakdown revealed that 77.9% of candidates completed the online exam, while 16.8% were disqualified due to various infractions, and 5.4% were absent.

The highest number of applicants came from Kogi State, with 72,497, followed by Benue State with 66,496 applications. The top five states also included Kaduna (64,730), Kano (50,678), and Niger (49,514).

The CBT results breakdown scored the following percentage: 0-40: 221,996 (25.4%), 41-60: 229,155, 61-80: 278,543
and 81-100: 142,697.

The examination marked the third stage of the recruitment process.

The initial application phase saw over 1.9 million applicants, significantly higher than the 573,000 applications received during the Nigerian Customs recruitment earlier this year.

By agency, statistics indicated that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had the most applicants with 703,499, followed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with 482,198.

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) received 406,491 applications, while the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) had 165,212.

In the second stage, 1,120,491 applicants were shortlisted for the online examinations.
