The youth wing of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) has declared that any Igbo person who fails to enroll in the ongoing Permanent Voters Card (PVC) is an enemy of Ndigbo and a saboteur to the economic development and political advancement of Ndigbo.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the National President of (OYC), Igboayaka Igboayaka, lamented the low turnout of Ndigbo in the ongoing continuous voter registration, especially in the South-East, considering that Ndigbo account for 42.8% of Nigeria’s total population.
It stated that it’s imperative that Ndigbo, who are largely marginalized and oppressed, take proactive steps to register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) at the nearest Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, thereby preparing themselves for a ballot revolution, a political storm, and a tsunami that will have far-reaching consequences for all political oppressors, profiteers, and saboteurs in Igboland.
Igboayaka further pointed out that those who have managed the political affairs of Ndigbo since 1999, are deemed ineffective, oppressive, and exploitative looters, prioritizing the interests of their families and associates over their responsibilities for the collective economic development of Alaigbo.

He said the repeated election of the same ineffective politicians, oppressors, and profiteers over the years has been unwise, and it would be foolish to continue trusting those who have kept Alaigbo in a state of political bondage and servitude.
The OYC president maintained that there will be a compulsory and comprehensive retirement from politics, that will be enforced on all corrupt politicians in the South-East.
“All other political figures seeking re-election, including Governor Francis Nwifuru and Governor Peter Mba have performed abysmally.
“The senators, House of Representatives, and state House of Assembly members in the South-East, should prepare to relinquish their positions to a new generation or face humiliation at polling units in 2027.
“The South-East will witness a fresh political dispensation, marked by the emergence of new breeds of politicians at various levels, including governors, senators, the House of Representatives, and state Houses of Assembly,” Igboayaka declared.
To achieve a new political beginnings, Igboayaka implored parents and guardians to ensure that every adult from age 18 years register for their PVCs.
