Day four of the 2026 National Beach Volleyball Star/Open Tour delivered another round of thrilling encounters, with teams across the men’s and women’s categories producing impressive performances as the competition gathered momentum.

Kada Prince II recorded one of the most commanding performances of the day, overwhelming Light Spikers in straight sets.
The Kaduna-based side showcased superior attacking and defensive play, cruising to a 21-2, 21-9 victory to strengthen their standing in the competition.
Refiners Academy also continued their impressive run, defeating Abu Sheriff 2-0. Refiners controlled proceedings from start to finish, winning 21-12 and 21-11 to secure another valuable victory.

Plateau Rocks maintained their winning momentum with a straight-set triumph over Philiric Spikers. Although the opening set proved competitive, Plateau Rocks held their nerve to claim it 21-18 before taking full control in the second set, winning 21-12.
In another men’s open fixture, Musa Rifkiatu I emerged victorious in an all-Musa Rifkiatu contest, defeating Musa Rifkiatu 2-0. The winners claimed the first set 21-12 before sealing the encounter with a 21-16 victory in the second set.
The Men’s Star Tour category witnessed high-quality volleyball as some of the country’s top pairs battled for supremacy.
Kano Pillars produced a solid performance to defeat the Adamawa Spikers in straight sets. After a competitive opening set, Kano Pillars raised their level to secure a 21-17, 21-12 victory and reinforce their status among the tournament favourites.
One of the most exciting matches of the day came between Kada Prince I and Adamawa Spikers. Kada Prince I started strongly, taking the opening set 21-14, but Adamawa Spikers staged a remarkable comeback.
They edged a tense second set 23-21 before completing the turnaround with a 15-12 win in the deciding set to claim a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
In the women’s division, Kada Emeralds survived a tough opening set against Light Spikers before cruising to victory. The Emeralds edged the first set 22-20 and then dominated the second set 21-6 to secure a 2-0 win.
Refiners Academy continued their impressive form in the women’s competition with a straight-set victory over Adamawa Spikers. They comfortably won the first set 21-7 before battling through a closely contested second set, eventually prevailing 26-24.
Anista also recorded a notable victory, defeating Kada Emeralds in straight sets. The team displayed consistency and composure throughout the encounter, winning 21-15 and 21-18 to maintain their strong campaign in the tournament.
With several teams building momentum and others fighting to stay in contention, the 2026 National Beach Volleyball Star/Open Tour continues to provide exciting competition and showcase some of Nigeria’s finest beach volleyball talents.
As the tournament progresses, attention will now shift to the next round of matches, where teams will seek crucial victories in their quest for honours in both the Star Tour and Open categories.
