The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Godwin Ogorugba has promised to reconstruct and repair some markets in the area to boost trade and commerce in the local government.
Ogorugba gave the assurance when he played host to the Market Women in Politics, Isoko North Chapter in his office, in Ozoro.
He said “I have gone round the local government and have seen several markets, some with dilapidated structures and drains filled with huge refuse and waste around the markets.
“We have said we will carry out a total cleaning of the markets to ensure regular flow of water and to cover with slab those that were not covered.”

He however appealed to the women to help the government in carrying out regular cleaning of the markets in order to ensure clean and safe environment for traders and customers.
Earlier, leader of the group, Mrs Roseline Ejoboke stated that they had come to celebrate and congratulate Ogorugba on his victory and subsequent swearing-in as the Chairman of Isoko North Council, having supported him all through the election and also called for support in whichever way possible.
Also, present in the meeting was the HPM of the Council, Mr Augustine Onokpasa; the Treasurer, HRM Queen Fejiro Elo Ogbogbo amongst others.
