The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially unveiled digital study portals tailored to help students succeed in the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). The initiative is part of WAEC’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at equipping candidates with smarter, more accessible tools for exam success.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Dr. Amos Dangut, Head of WAEC’s Nigeria National Office, unveiled the WAEC E-Study Portal—a cutting-edge online resource built specifically for WASSCE candidates. This powerful platform allows students, schools, and teachers to access a wide array of exam materials, including past WASSCE questions (both theory and multiple-choice), detailed marking schemes, personalised learning plans, and performance analytics that reveal students’ strengths and areas for improvement.
Students preparing for Arts, Science, and Commercial subjects can now log on to waec.estudy.ng to begin their exam preparation journey with data-driven insights. “The portal enables candidates to identify their weaknesses from previous exam patterns and offers guided solutions to strengthen their performance,” said Dr. Dangut.
In addition to the E-Study Portal, WAEC has also introduced WAEC Konnect—a digital interaction hub designed to bridge communication between candidates, schools, and WAEC officials. The platform not only keeps stakeholders informed with real-time updates, but also provides direct access to previous question papers, answers, and Chief Examiners’ Reports. Candidates can get started at waeckonnect.com and explore comprehensive materials that are critical for exam readiness.

“These resources offer candidates an advantage like never before—everything from curated learning content to Chief Examiners’ remarks is available in one place,” Dangut emphasised. “It’s a revolution in how students prepare for one of the most important examinations in West Africa.”
WAEC’s move into digital learning is part of its ongoing efforts to modernise educational processes across the region. The Council previously launched a digital certificate platform in October 2022, making it easier for institutions and employers worldwide to verify academic credentials issued in West Africa.
With the 2025 WASSCE drawing closer and the Council preparing to introduce its first-ever Computer-Based Test (CBT) format, WAEC is clearly setting a new standard in educational excellence. Over 1.97 million candidates from more than 23,500 schools are expected to participate in this year’s exam, making the need for reliable, digital preparatory tools more crucial than ever.
WAEC’s new digital portals are a blueprint for transforming how students succeed in one of the most competitive exams in West Africa. Whether you’re a student, teacher, or parent, now is the time to explore these groundbreaking platforms and take advantage of the future of WASSCE preparation.
